  3. I thought it was really cool that he made it through 456 days of traveling! I thought that it was funny that when he finally got to the US his registration and inspection expired. I think it is really cool that he got to see the world and he will never forget this trip. If I got to explore the world I would probably chicken out. But it was really awesome that he kept his fans and followers informed and updated. ♥ autumn

  4. Hooray! Really, though, I'm a bit worried about how this is going to turn out, because he technicly can't drive or be in the US (his Visa/Greencard/Passport expired), and he's out of a job which, in this economy, can be hard to find. I guess only time will tell, right? I mean, I'm sure a guy who survived in some of the most dangerous parts of the world can survive the bureaucracy that is the American government.

  5. it seems like he had a lot of fun with the trip around the world but he is also happy to finally be home with family and friends

  6. I think its funny how Nick traveled all around the world and forgot about the time change when he got back to New York and told his friends that he would be there Sunday and he got there Saturday and when he got back when we had our snow days becuase of the ice!!!

  7. Like he said in his blog posts, his US adventures showed many familiar landmarks, making him feel a little more comfortable about traveling since he'd been there. It made him happy to see familiar sights, in the country where he lived.

It made me want to go to New York. Not that he advertised it or anything... but ... I just really want to go.
But anyway, I don't know if I'd be up to driving around the world. I'd feel almost trapped to be in a car for so long, and then confused about where I was and the difference between that culture and the last. I guess we all have different opinions, though, and it's interesting to see his experiences, even if it's not something I'd particularly want to do.

  9. To me, i think that its really cool that he got to see all of his o,d freinds after he's been gone for 456 days. But also, that all his freinds like his landlord Jay, kept all his belongings for him and put them safely away and left a space for his car in the driveway.

  10. I think that its really amazing how he has the money to go across the US. And i wonder if he ever got bored with driving ALL the time.

  12. I am surprised that Nicholas Rapp's car held up to so much strait on the trip, but I'm glad he made it home. I hope he likes paperwork!

  13. I am so happy and amazed that he made it back to New York City, and even though he is in his home country, he still had some crazy adventures. And I thought that that was kinda funny, how he went to so many countries where he had way more issues than he had in the US, and yet he still had adventures. I thought that how parking in New York was hard was a really good example of that.

  14. I think it would be an amazing experience to travel though all of those countries in a car. It would be cool to have all of those stamps in your passport, but I think it would be nice to finally get back to his original city.

  15. His US adventures were probably way easier than the ones oversea. I wish i could go to New York because i think it would be fun. I bet he had a fun time going across the US. He is probably really happy to be back home in New York.

  16. I thought it was weird how different something could be even if it is your own country. For example he thought it was very flat in oklahoma and he has never been there before

  17. I think that my favorite part of the entire trip would be coming back to my hometown and seeing how life there related to different parts of the world. It would be a good expirience to travel the world and interact with different cultures, too.

  18. The mountain areas were really cool, especially the ancient structures underneath the cliff! Some of the natural landscapes were just about as cool as the ones in other countries! In general, I think it was interesting that he continued his drive across the world even when he was back in the USA.

  19. If I could pick a place to go from the last part of his trip, I would go to the Mesa Verde National Park. The pictures of the cliff dwellings looked so small, like the people who lived there were really small. It would be fun to see that.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Cool! The Mesa Verde place was awesome, I love looking at dwellings like that. The sunset pics were cool too. I would love to see the mountains he visited as well, they were Beautiful!!! It was really cool that he kept driving the whole way instead of taking a flight, LA to NYC, I so would've broken down and took a flight. I HATE car trips. Especially when I have 2 siblings with me to bicker with and 2 parents to tell us to shut up. I would last longer by myself probably. It would be so fun to drive around the world, except a little scary at times, like when you're on really thin roads and stuff like that.

  21. He made it back to the US! And on a suspended lisence to. I have asolutly no idea how he is going to turn his finantial life around though.

  22. I think that it is really cool that he kept driving all the way back to New York, and that he didn't fly there and have his car just shipped. I like how he stopped sometimes too, to enjoy things.

  23. I think that next to his US experiences seem duller then his experiences in other contrys, but this is most likely because I live in the US and see it on a daily basis. I also think it is amazing that he actually made this trip around the world.

  25. I think that it is really cool that NIck traveled 37,000 miles around the world and back to New York in 456 days. It must have been a fun experience and I would like to go on a trip like this. It was also funny to see his park job in New York after the snow (:

  26. I think it's ironic how he has been all over the world and the last country he drives through is the US which is not the most beautiful place in the world. I wonder how he compares the US to other countries. Almost all of the western US is either filled with mountains or flat lands it seems so plain compared to the deserts and the jungles of the other countrys. It's also weird how Nicks car was acting up the entire trip until he got to the US and then it was working fine, and it was all because it was cold.

  27. I think that it's really cool that Nick Rap took a break from art and traveled around the world. I would like to travel the world when I'm older.

i thought it was really funny how he was set a day back. but i also thought it was funny how he was reunited with his freinds and i also liked how i got to hear a recap on how all of his trips were and to hear the summery of them. this is because i kinda forgot. but overall i really liked this new post.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think that his trip was very cool and sucsessful because he learned about a lot a different cultures and how they live.I think when he was traveling back through the US that he saw a change in how active we are and how much we are outdors.

    ReplyDelete
  30. When he parks in New York he is on top of a snow pile. I guess parking in New York is hard even for a "professional".

    ReplyDelete
  31. i think that it is cool how Mr. Rapp made a blog entery about him in the united states because he has been talking about the rest of the world and what he thinks of it, and i think its cool because he didnt say much about the US, but now he has.

  32. It was really cool to watch him go from country to country and learn about how diffrent cultures can be on the way. what i found funny was his liencse was suspened and he still drove around the world and his registration and inspection was expired. so yea!! i think i would love to do this one day except that i would do it with one of my friends so that way i would have someone to talk to and so i would at least know someone. i think it would be really cool to be one of the first teenagers to travel around the world without ANY parents course that could get out of hand........anyway i would love to do that!!!

  34. I think it is amazing that he was able to go around the world and overcoming many obstacles. I am surprised that he was able to go that long without family of friends. I wonder what he will to do get money now other than write a book and i also wonder if he will get a new car.

  35. I think his reaction to the states when he got back was very intresting, but i was kind of expecting it. Mostly, i thought he would be use to what he saw, but i didn't expect him to write a whole blog on it. I also feel that he planed more on places outside of the US, like seeing famous spots(or trying to find places that aren't that famous but are very intresting), but when he got into the US it seemed like he just drove through the states to get back to New York.

  36. I love that he went all around the world, but i think he should have went through US before he went further. i think that what he saw here in his own country should change his point of view dramaticly. how wasteful people can be, compared to other countries and how they reuse and recycle things. i think that after this expirience he would try to be more green. bottom line i think that it's AMAZING that a person can get to make a trip like that.

  37. I thought it was hilarious how he arrived one day early! That would be so disapointing to go to the airport and see no one waiting for you. I would wind up laughing about it later if it happened to me. I wonder how many pictures he took on his trip? He will probably need a computer for just pictures! It was really cool getting to follow him around and hear about his trip home.
    Welcome Back Nicolas Rapp!

  38. I really do wonder whether he will write a book or carry on other adventures. It seems when he was traveling back through the states he was seeing more countryside. His view of the United States was I think kind of harsh, but after you've been around the world I guess it's hard to not be disapointed and compare it to all of the other places. I'm excited to see what comes out of his adventure, because something like this is not going to go unoticed.
    Welcome Back! :)

  39. All the culutral universals he posted about are quite interseting but I still don't know why he didn't come through Ohio. I posted at least 6 times on his blog telling him about Phoenix but he went South. He said himself he didn't really like Knoxville.

  41. I cant' believe that he drove with a suspended license. Must have been a stick-in-the-mud for him, but it looked okay from the blog. Around the world in 456 days. Something to be proud of! Still don't quite believe that he's back in the US, after all the stuuf we read about his adventures...

    ReplyDelete
  42. This really makes me want to see other countries, and even other places in the US! I had no idea that this was in the Dispatch...I'll have to check it out! That's funny, that he "arrived a day early" by mistake! :-D

  43. I think its cool that on the way back home he stopped at all these places and im glad hes back okay but i wasnt quite sure did he say his dad was with him because i heard him mentioned somewhere.

  46. I think the February 11 blog post was very cool because it was all about his drive though the US and it featured different states as he drove through them. I also like how he took about one or two pictures about major things in places he went. I thought it was funny how when he was driving through the US he kept saying how there weren’t many people out; unlike in some of the places he went. I’m glad that he went around the world; I think it is pretty amazing that he has gone 37,000 miles in 456 days. I wish I could go and visit some of the places he got to see and do some of the things he got to do. This seems like a very cool and fun experience.

  48. I think it was weird to see how most of the other countries are more active, and we aren't very active at all. The places he went to were also pretty cool, like the Mesa Verde National Park.

  49. I agree with Nicholas Rapp that our country is "lazy" but I would also have to say it is winter and he was on an interstate for a while. I also feel that the other countries he had visited might have been in the summer/marmer weather.

  51. I think that it is amazing that Nicolas Rapp is very adventuous and took a part of his life to travel around the world. I thought that it was funny how many times his car broke down and how he tried not to get frustrated. There were a lot of people who were fallowing him and his journey and I think that he enjoyed showing, and bloging about his adventures, and telling people about the different people around the world.
